Poultry Scale Module
The GE-OPTIGAIN 1 is an electronic scale module allowing for the continuous weighing of poultry. The scale is suspended from the ceiling by a chain, with a vertical steel pole at the base that maintains a disc-shaped platform. The whole is suspended with an electronic weighing module fixed on a chain.
Equipped with a piezoelectric measuring cell, the GE-OPTIGAIN 1 records your animals’ weight as they step onto the platform and transfers the weighing data through a communication port.

Details
The module’s differential reading approach allows for the measurement of poultry weights even when there are multiple animals on the tray. In addition, this method eliminates errors caused by platform debris.
- The weight on the tray is read at regular intervals, several times per second.
- The weight is stored after it has stabilized for a period of about two seconds.
- The stabilized weight is compared with the previous stabilized weight reading.
- If the two consecutive readings have a difference corresponding to the target weight of the chicken, the difference is recorded.
