Motorized Air Inlet Positioner
The Varifan SVIM/S is a positioner which controls motorized air inlets. The SVIM/S is connected to a master control to position an air inlet according to the desired ventilation.
The SVIM/S can control two different types of air inlet actuators:
- With feedback potentiometer: the positioning is controlled by the feedback potentiometer, delivering a more precise positioning.
- Curtain time positioning (time mode): this method is used when the air inlet system does not have a feedback potentiometer. Time mode positioning uses the curtain’s traveling time to evaluate its position.
Calibration
The SVIM/S features an easy-to-use calibration function, which allows the unit to establish its own position references during installation. The calibration feature is commanded by the master control.
User Settings
Most of the SVIM/S’s settings are automatically set by the master control. Refer to the master control documentation for more details.
Security
The SVIM/S features several robust security features. In the event that the SVIM/S loses communication with the master control, it is able to operate the air inlet autonomously by using its own temperature probe.
